روبنسون كروزو

إنّ أوّل وأشهر روايات «دانيال ديفو» كانت رواية «روبنسون كروزو»، التي نُشرت عام 1719، عندما كان يقارب الستين من عمره، وقد حقّقت نجاحاً باهراً، وتظهر هذه القصة كيف أنّ الإنسان يستطيع التغلب على الصعوبات، من خلال الجهد، والصبر، والإبداع، كما تظهر، في الوقت عينه، حاجتنا إلى التواصل، وفي أن نكون جزءاً من المجتمع.
بعيداً عن كونه صحفياً وروائياً، فإنّ «دانيال ديفو» كان مؤلفاً لأكثر من 500 كتاب. وكانت رواية «مول فلاندرز» من أكثر رواياته شهرةً.
ولد في لندن حوالى سنة 1660، وتوفّي في عام 1731، وقد سافر كثيراً في حياته.

Robinson Crusoe
The first and most famous of Daniel Defoe’s novels was Robinson Crusoe, which was published in 1719, when he was nearly 60 years old, and it was a great success. This story shows how human beings are capable of overcoming difficulties through effort, patience and ingenuity, at the same time as it shows our need to communicate and form part of a society.
Apart from being a journalist and novelist, Daniel Defoe was the author of more than 500 books. Among his novels, one of the most famous is Moll Flanders.
He was born in London around 1660 and died in 1731, having travelled widely in his life.
